Install
On Linux or macOS:
tar -xzf rollupdb_linux_amd64.tar.gz
sudo mv rollupdb /usr/local/bin/
rollupdb version
On Windows, unzip the archive and run rollupdb.exe version from the folder.
The binaries are pure Go, with no CGo, so they need nothing else installed and run on any Linux distribution. The macOS binaries aren’t signed by Apple, so macOS may block the first run; allow it in System Settings under Privacy & Security, or run xattr -d com.apple.quarantine rollupdb.
Every binary is built by the release workflow on GitHub. Before a release goes out, each build that its runner can execute creates a database, defines a stream, ingests readings, queries them, rolls them up, takes a snapshot and queries the snapshot. If any build fails that check, nothing is published.
As a Go Library
go get github.com/rollupdb/rollupdb
The library is the engine; the command and the HTTP service call it. The reference lists the calls.
